Latrell's Christening Continues!

Thanks to the Colonel and James who recently sent in an absolute Tanduay bottle filled of photos we shall be continuing with the christening again from tomorrow.

Don't miss out - You won't be able to live with yourself!

Anna's Birthday Party!

WHICH ANNA?

Yeah I know there is a heap of them in the local Filipino community.
This birthday party was on Sunday night and was for my dear little sister Maria and Jason's daughter Anna.
I can't for the life of me remember how old she turned this time, this due either to my rapidly decaying brain or just because I never actually asked.
Anyway for your viewing please I have a number of photos below for one and all.

A SPECIAL thank you to my good friend Ging Ging for supplying the camera shots to me, sadly my selection were all from a rather bodgy camera phone.
It was great to see you again Ging - shame it happens so infrequently.

My godson Latrell tries to come to terms with the little dog that was virtually the same size as him :-)

Ahhhh Daddy's little birthday girl!
Anna and Jason share a loving moment after the usual cake cutting
bollocks was attended to.
Not sure where the piggy comes from - could possibly be a toy from
Jason's adult warehouse.

Cake cutting time from left to right!
Kenneth, Rajin, Anna and a couple of those homeboy type people who always seem to have trouble working out which way their hats must go in their depressing need to follow unusual American culture.

Ahhh my maganda wife and sister enjoying a short break from party work.
Maria sadly still sporting signs of her recent sad incident with the family dog.

I knew Ging Ging was up to something :-)

Its always great to catch up with all the Pinay mates.
Left to Right
The awesomely smutty Bridgette, me, my northern based mate Ging Ging,
my wife Ana and best mate Gina.

Another group shot of the same people, but also including Ging Ging's youngest sister in red and some other girl who is likely the daughter of one
of her massive group of sisters.

If I remember she has six sisters and possibly some brothers. The sort of
family my asawa keeps pushing me to have :-)

Salamat Ging Ging for the last three shots.
See you at the next party!

Cheers
Brad

A Strange Encounter!

SEE WHAT YOU THINK?

The following photo was taken (on a mobile) by Gina last night. The original is shown first, then a sharpened copy (probably to sharpened).
On looking at the photo we noticed the ghostly cloud down near the bottom, sitting on my lap.
Ronnie placed it on the computer and a close inspection on a photo program revealed a couple of faces of humans ands a dog.
Despite taking a couple of similar shots this is the only time it showed on my lap and there was absolutely nothing else around except my black t-shirt.
I personally thought there was something wrong with the camera, but close inspection showed faces so amazingly real.

Interestingly, and likely relevant in Filipino beliefs, I have been suffering major stomach trouble for four days.

Freaky

Regards
Mulder
PS: Excuse the pulled face - can't help myself, I just hate photos :-)

Christening Of Latrell - Sept 21st! Part 2
inc: Honey's 18th Birthday.

Welcome to the second instalment of photos from Latrell's christening and Honeys 18th birthday.

This selection of photos is from the camera of James Chuang, the other of our two photographers on the day. There is a brief glimpse at the actual ceremony this time as photos gradually trickle through to me.
Hopefully the important ceremony will be covered in more detail next week as we gradually get through all the shots.

A proud moment!
With the ceremony over, one attempts to hide from all the cameras.
Soon enough I am noticed and told to make way to the stage for the awaiting horde of paparazzi all wanting to record my old derelict self on film for decades. Actually, it was probably all digital stuff, so film is likely not the word.
L-R: Gina, Anabelle, Latrell, Me, Ron.

A rather surprised looking Colonel during the ceremony with Grandpa
looking on from behind.

Of course any event that involves the attendence of hornbags will likely
draw out the famous

BURWOOD PERVERT!

Here he is with the unidentified mystery hornbag again!

And soon after his attention was drawn to the ever beautiful Honey
who is seen arriving here for her party.

Even his wife is not safe from his specialised pervert camera.
She is seen here between Siti (left) their former house guest and Analiza (right) who is whatever the rumours are saying today!

Yep here he is again, the woman certainly need no introduction now!

CAKE FIGHT TIME!

I think it is Beryl getting a face full of cake from Colonel in this shot, with me behind getting another scoop which soon found its way to Colonel's, ahhmm, friend in the white at far left :-)

Nobody is a winner in any war.
The scars, so vividly shown here, will last forever.
Or at least a couple of weeks till he has his next shower.

Join us again soon for part 3!

Whats a barkada!

OK, given two of you Aussie's have asked:

The following is ripped off this WEBSITE!

In Filipino, the word "barkada" means a group of friends.
I've heard it described as a group of close-knit friends or simply a peer group.
The best definition I can come up with is that to a Filipino, one's
barkada is another form of family.

This may sound frightening to foreigners, since surely one group of relatives is enough! While it must be admitted that our loyalties do beget
corruption and nepotism, the upside is strong networks.

The barkada has the best of both worlds, people who know you and love you anyway, but who will allow you to take them for granted... to a certain extent.
This motley crew is my barkada.

Hope this explains all!

Christening Of Latrell - Sept 21st! Part 1
inc: Honey's 18th Birthday.

As many of you will be no doubt aware, last weekend was the christening of little Latrell, the son of my dear friends Ron and Gina.
Not only was it a great event, but, thanks to Ron and Gina I was given the immense honour of being one of Latrell's godparents.
A weeks worth of feverish work went in and ensured all went well on the day, everyone had a great time and, as only could happen in a function of the 'G-Spot Karaoke Barkada', a food fight helped all (well many anyway) to enjoy the day even more.
Thanks/Salamat again to Ron and Gina for allowing to be a big part of this special moment in your lives. I couldn't be more proud.

Opportunity was also taken to celebrate the 18th birthday (despite her only looking still 14) of my newest friend Honey.
Onya Honey, your a terrific person and it was wonderful to be there for it.

Now sit back and check out all the shots from the event as taken by The Colonel and James Chuang. Currently I mostly have photos of the party, however during the next week I shall have the actual ceremony, cake fight and other memorable moments.

AHHHH PARADISE :-)

Friends old and new during the after-party.
L-R

Gina
: The beautiful mum of Latrell and the best sense of humour
I have ever found in a Pinay, not to mention the one that comes out with a new surprise every time we meet :-).

Honey
: Its rare to find a new close friend nowdays, but Honey certainly is that.
The newest person in my group of mates is one of the sweetest you
will ever meet. I suppose its why her parents called her Honey!!! :-)
Maria
: My oldest Pinay mate (time-not age) and my little sister who is always there when I am down.

No idea who this person is but lets face it WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
MAGANDA!

Just in case one photograph of Mrs Unidentified wasn't enough.
A bonus extra for you all.

One of the Philippines finest Pinays (Honey) is sampling one of the Philippines
finest alcohol products.
Glad she left me a little :-)

I am beginning to understand why the Tanduay went so quick now :-)

The maganda birthday girl sings with her ol buggar brother/mate.

BE WARNED: Outsiders are often not prepared for what can happen when hanging around the G-Spot Karaoke barkada!
Analiza found out the hard way.
Christenings, their all the same aren't they, Church service, photographs,
speeches, eating, drinking, karaoke, CAKE FIGHTS!!

Hmmmm nah, I think the later one is certainly unique to us.

Hope she got all the cake out of her hair, clothes, nostrils and any other more private locations that it may or may not have ended up :-)

MOVING ON!

** COMING NEXT **

No sooner was the 40th party over than little Latrell was having his christening. Stay tuned to this website for photographic coverage coming shortly and, likely, in another four parts.

I should point out, for those who lack much of a sense of humour,
this is indeed a joke.

BRAD'S 'BECOMING AN OLD BUGGAR' 40TH BIRTHDAY PT4

** THE SPECIAL TONGUE EDITION **

I am not really sure why tongues feature so often at 'G-Spot Karaoke Barkada' gatherings, but lets just thank the lord they do.
Come on guys, admit it, you would have to be somewhat, ahmmm different, not to be taken by the sight of a tongue trying to lurch itself free of a Pinay speech box. Its a sight that would melt even the hardest of men (and by hard I mean tough - as opposed to, well, you know). :-)
Anyway please join me in celebrating the TONGUE in this final instalment of my 40th Birthday!

Gina shows us her prized cardboard cut out of a, ahhhmmmm, couple of marshmallows.

Hayley becomes the meat in the dribbly foamer sandwich!

Nothing like a dual tongue session.
My best mate Gina (right) gives a parallel tongue display for the camera
with the newest hornbag on the block, Analiza.

My wifes Ana and Gina are overcome with excitment during
the occasion and tongues go wild.

My wife, Gina's, husband Ron looks on.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh yeah!!!!!

Even the parents become overwhelmed with the arousing displays going on!

NOTE: Just in case you were wondering.
Nope we have no financial interest in the group :-)
Our barkada are just huge fans of the Kamis, a group that is quite simply an awesome piece of entertainment and the nicest people you could hope to meet.

And Now For Something Completely Different!

With apologies to Monty Python.

Yes I realise I promised part 4 of my 40th and the special tongue edition. I haven't forgotten and expect to do this on Wednesday.

This posting relates to a couple of friends I have never met and who live overseas.

Ever since I can remember I have had pen pals, some like my good friends Anthony Buckley (Leeds UK) and Diane Klepper (USA) have been with me for over 15 years now. Its amazing to look back over what we have all gone through during this time.

A couple of years ago I was on the prowl for a penpal who, like me, was into photography. The idea was that we could write to each other and swap photos.
If memory serves correct, and it often doesn't in this advanced age of 40, Ria was introduced to me through a friend of hers who saw I was looking for someone with a photography interest.
The rest is history, we have corresponded while she went through many moves of house and during this time we have swapped many letters, photos and even gifts.

Last week I received a letter off her with a selection of photos within. All were taken in New Mexico and Organ Mountains and Dripping Sands. I was so taken with the photography that I thought I would share them here.
Ria has taken some stunning and interesting images.

Beautiful work my friend.

I first met Jeffrey on the internet when he joined my 'Philippine Railways SIG'
While we have not been penfriends as such, we have kept regular contact on the internet and I hope to eventually meet up with him.
Last week, following my report on my 40th birthday, Jeffrey alerted my to some interesting fact.
Both love railways.
Both love the Philippines.
Both went on to marry Filipinas.
Both born in September 1968, indeed his 40th was but 6 days before mine.

Below is a photo of Jeffrey and his maganda asawa Dahlin who we hope to meet up with one day soon.

Happy 40th Birthday Jeffrey!!!

HISTORY IN THE MAKING - LATRELL

Well last night, while in the process of consuming some of the endless party leftovers, we were treated to a very historic moment in time.
After I made a few comments about how soon it will be before my godson Latrell finally starts to walk, he actually went it alone for himself.
First he stood up for a short while with no help, then another attempt to get him to stand was met with a good metre and a half walk over to his mummy Gina.

What an awesome moment to see and capture on photo.

Of course a major event like this needs to be celebrated and what better way to do it than with a bucket load of chocolate :-)

BRAD'S 'BECOMING AN OLD BUGGAR' 40TH BIRTHDAY PT3

PART 3

More filth and depravity from Brad's big 40th event!

What a cute couple!
Despite her stealing Nathan's affections away from me, I am very happy for them.
Yes I hope she makes you as happy as I did Nathan!!!!!!!! Thats right!!!!!!
Seriously though - Hayley makes a great addition to our sordid little group of friends, it was great to finally meet her.

Ahhhhhh yes, the mystical Tanduay Gold.
My mate Bill Sullivan gave me this rare delight for my present and here we see James Chuang modelling it in front of my sugarcane garden.

Was getting a tad concerned as to Steve's intentions for my microphone and whether or not he would respect it in the morning :-)

The Colonel family as in attendence. His beautiful wife and their lovely daughter, who, obviously got her daddys big smile.

A bit of bad timing here.
We were waiting to have our picture taken when I locate a stray bit of chocolate behind my beautiful sister Maria's ear. Not wanting a good morsal to go to waste, I quickly tried to rectify the situation, but then BANG, the photo was taken.
In the pink is one of the millions of Anna's that seem to accumulate at these gatherings. Must have been a special on that name,
or variations of it, in the Philippines.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
My mate Gina is seen here with Annie Wing.
Those of you that have a football interest and live in Sydney would no
doubt know of her son Craig.

Me - Give me my V8s anyday. :-)

Heres our Honey again.
Its rare that someone so genuinely nice and kind joins in with
our barkada, however Honey is certainly both.

Ahhhhhhh my very cuddly fourth wife Bing.
Seen here during an intimate moment while EVERYONE was watching :-)

Yum - My second wife Anabelle savours the delights from the chocolate fountain.
Strawberries - Marshmallows and other goodies were eagerly devoured by all.

Now while looking at that last photo you may well have noticed the tongue probing its way forth towards the soon to be devoured helpless strawberry.
PART 4 of this series on my 40th will cover tongues, tongues of all shapes and varieties.
Join us on Tuesday (next week) when we do our 40th birthday special edition devoted to that most wonderful of devices
THE TONGUE!
