Cynthia's Hawiian 13th Birthday

Last Saturday, the 22nd of November, the G-Spot Barkada were invited to attend the birthday party of Grandma's grand-daughter Cynthia over at Randwick. The theme, as is likely obvious from the photos, was Hawaiian and our group wasn't about to let them down :-) Thanks to everyone for a great day! Below are a selection of photographs taken on the big day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CYNTHIA!

A cake fight is almost a tradition at any party the G-Spotters go to, however we plead innocent to starting this little messy round.

Jasmin even cops her share of the cake!

A foursome in an exclusive hotel - sort of everyones fantasy really :-)

Honey is busy admiring, well Honey!

Opps - someone pulled out a photo of Racquel!
Put it away - PUT IT AWAY!!!!!

Back on the balcony, Gina and Ron enjoy the view of the passing smog producers.

The balcony was obviously popular, now Ferlie, Brad and Honey are out there.

And two of us again!

FRIENDSHIP
What is the true meaning of friendship?
Like death and taxes, one sure thing in life is that friends come by regularly and sometimes they even go (occasionally doing so in a huge tirade of
backstabbing and betrayal) away again.

While you don't wish to see them go, things march on and soon you move on to those other people who are far more important in your life and far more deserving of your friendship. Those other people soon become part of your past - their contribution adding to the person you are and leave you with lessons learn't.
However occasionally, VERY occasionally, a friend comes along who is different. Someone who you know genuinely cares and helps you look well past the bad in life and learn just to ignore it and have fun.
These friends, of which I luckily have a couple, are those you can't imagine life without, those who stick by you in good and bad (not just their bad) and those who endure my demented sense of humour. :-)
One of these rare people is seen here sipping on a wine and enjoying the late afternoon Sydney sun while overlooking Randwick Racecourse.
Maraming Salamat Po Gina

This is an interesting Philo tradition called the pinata, where something, like the doll below, is stuffed full of goodies and kids take turns to be blindfolded, given a stick of some sort and allowed to beat the absolute poop out of it.
The kids kept refering to the hung doll as Lisa, which for our barkada is strangely appropriate, although I suppose they were refering to a school friend rather
than any gossiping skanks.

Cake cutting time!

Some of the many attendees watch on from behind!

Enday and Gina enjoy the afternoon sun near the pool!

All that wine has done wonders for Gina's height, we are all surprised by how tall she has become in recent weeks.

Last but not least.
We find the photographer photographed!
My little sister Honey is become an avid photographer like myself.
